What was the highlight of Hotel Dorado Plaza Centro Histórico
Facilities need an improvement
Excellent location. I was there for a convention and it was a walking distance. At night, even though the area looked a little sketchy, it was walkable and close to many restaurants. Staff was friendly, good breakfast too.
Common areas look old and need renovations. There was this big middle section of the hotel where the elevator was, and you could see many electric cables and pieces going out from there. I was given a room on the second floor (which was actually the first floor after ground level) and it had a nice little balcony with view to the Centennial park but I was unable to open the curtains since the glass was fully see-through and at so close ro ground leven people from the street could look up and see my room. The hot water system never worked, Since it was a work trip some nights, I needed to stay late to work on some presentations, and when I went to shower before going to bed the hot water never came out, I had to shower with cold water, during the next days it kind of improved but never fully, a slightly warm water was the most got out of the tap. Also, the internet was down to the whole building for a full night. The doors are old lock and key style, and they gave you a big wood keychain with the number of the room engraved, which was cumbersome to carry in the pocket.

Enjoyed the location.
Excellent location. The staff was amazing and very helpful.
The property needs to be updated. The breakfast needs be improved. It was also in general very noisy.

This hotel is very convenient and I do recommend it to others.
The full breakfast was very good.
The coffee was not good. Wi-Fi could have been improved.

Very Good
Great location, able to walk around easily or catch a cab. Breakfast daily was a buffet with plenty of options. Comfortable beds in a large room with a balcony. Mateo at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Did not enjoy the "cool" shower, unless we had a long day in the sun! The air conditioning was excellent until it would unexpectedly shut off.
